Always wanted to be a Chalet Cook? Our signature Ski Chalet Cooking Courses are your pathway to the winter or summer season you’ve always dreamed of. This course can take you one step closer with our in house chef, Vinny from foodie chalet specialists, Fish&Pips.
This 5 day Ski Chalet Cooking Course is ideal for school-leavers wanting to do a ski or summer season, or for students heading off to University. The courses not only teach you knife skills and cooking skills but life skills too, so they are a great way of giving confidence to any young person who will be living away from home.
Run by our specialist team from the highly regarded gourmet ski company Fish&Pips our Chalet Cooks courses are taught by former Times Chalet Chef of the year Vincent Clist. Students will be living in an environment where they will be trained to “host” as well as cook, making them perfect candidates for the winter and summer seasons.
Our intensive syllabus aims to give our students a thorough overview of working and cooking in a chalet, incorporating basic to intermediate cookery training, knife skills, menu planning, sourcing ingredients, budgeting, time management, meal service, time management and an overall general view of life in the Alps. Our courses are practical, hands-on and fun!
Students will come away with an armoury of skills, a folder of tried and tested recipes and a ‘Chalet Bible’ written in association with our friends at Fish&Pips. In addition, we have affiliations with many companies in the ski industry and are perfectly placed to point our students in the right direction for winter season chalet positions.
Our ski chalet cooking courses run throughout the year. We offer bed and breakfast accommodation and all students will be provided with breakfast, lunch and supper.
