The ski industry is incredibly popular and attracts customers from all ages and backgrounds, as a result employers are constantly on the lookout for their next great chef. We at The Abinger Cookery School are affiliated with many companies in the ski industry and our associates ultimately turn to us whenever they have a position that needs to be filled. As well as our 5 and 10 day Chalet Cooks courses, we are the ONLY cookery school to also offer a 4 week program where students are guaranteed interviews with 5 ski companies once their training is complete. We dedicate our time to pointing students in the right direction for seasonal vacancies and provide each one with all the training they need. Let us do the same for you!
Cooking is a diverse and creative practice and we aim to arm you with all the skills you require. Our Chalet Cooks course will teach you how to utilize all cooking styles ranging from simple deserts to tricky seafood. We’ll teach you basic knife skills, how to plan a creative menu and where to source the freshest ingredients. We’ll also teach you how to manage your time properly, how to budget your creations and fantastic service skills to make your guests as comfortable as possible. Food hygiene, cleaning and life in the Alps are also part of our useful training programme and are sure to help you launch your new career with ease.
